Virtual Feast: A Carnival of Errors
A downloadable project
Feast: a Carnival of Errors was Norwich's response to Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors. Now, explore this all-new digital carnival space to learn more about the creative experiences that led to this vibrant production.
Designed to capture the legacy of Norwich's third year of Shakespeare Nation and inspired by the live show, Virtual Feast is an interactive archive of creativity. Investigate uniquely-patterned tents to discover a collection of short film, creative writing, spoken word and visual art, all underpinned by a soundtrack composed from sound sessions with participants at The Hamlet and FABBA Theatre Company.
Produced by Norwich Theatre in association with the Royal Shakespeare Company as part of Shakespeare Nation.
Shakespeare Nation is a community participation programme run by the Royal Shakespare Company and their partner theatres, aimed at engaging with people who have little or no experience of Shakespeare, either as a theatre-goer or performer.
The Shakespeare Nation adult engagement work is generously supported by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.
The Hamlet provides recreational, educational and social opportunities for children and adults with profound disabilities and complex health needs. At their two locations in Norwich, they offer a wide range of high quality services to support over 500 families each year from across Norfolk. These services promote integration and inclusion by breaking down barriers that often exist for people with disabilities.
Fabba is a theatre company for adults with learning disabilities based at the Seagull Theatre in Lowestoft and St George’s Theatre, Great Yarmouth. They aim to provide opportunities to learn drama skills, gain confidence, take ownership of a project and perform on stage.
Developer note: This project will receive some minor updates to lighting, texture compression, and UI architecture within several weeks of release. In-Browser, IOS and Android support is currently in development. For further information or to report any technical issues, please send us a message.
